Sacraments
The Sacred Signs of God’s Grace in Our Lives
What the Sacraments Are
The word sacrament comes from the Latin sacramentum meaning “a sign of the sacred.” In the Catholic Church the seven sacraments are outward signs used to show things that are sacred and are how we experience God’s presence in our lives.
The sacramental life of the parish is vital to spiritual growth in prayer, love, and service. In addition to the information here, take the time to visit our individual sacrament pages to learn how to prepare for and receive the sacraments at Saint Vincent.
