Faith Formation on 3 Pillars
Worship at Sunday Mass with the Parish: The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic life. Faith Formation flows from and leads to the Sunday Mass where we meet Christ in Word (Scripture), in Sacrament (Holy Communion), and in the praying congregation (Community). The classroom or a textbook does not replace worship!
Intergenerational Emphasis: Our goal is to evangelize and impact all those living in your home, not only your children. Faith Formation is an intergenerational process. As we know from experience: “The family that prays (and learns) together, stays (and grows) together.”
Desired Outcomes: As we are formed as disciples of Jesus Christ, we hope to know and love Jesus (understanding), to love and enjoy being a part of his Body, the Church (participation), and to serve as Jesus for the needs of the poor (outreach/service).
Faith Sharing Small Groups
Faith sharing invites us to a time of prayer, reflection, and conversion. In small groups, a facilitator leads the group to engage and to inspire a deeper relationship with Jesus. Through the provided materials and discussion, participants are encouraged to be community, enter fellowship, and discover practical ways to live our faith in ways that God desires for our lives. Small groups are formed and gather throughout the year focusing on relevant topics of the liturgical season, prayer, Scripture, catechism, lives of the Saints, etc.
